In today’s society, computers and technology are everywhere, which is why at PPA Cover, we offer computing classes for students to excel in this growing area. Our program aims to guarantee online safety and awareness while also providing students with a well-rounded education in the vast world of technology.
Computing classes are the perfect way to add value and sustainability to your school. PPA Covered’s quality staff are experienced IT specialists, who are trained and qualified to teach students how to read and create code, design websites and learn the other requirements following the National Curriculum. Classes can be structured to fit specific needs for Primary Schools Key Stages One and Two. Both are covered to include unplugged activities, coding and programming, applying IT, creative digital literacy and online safety.
We concentrate on producing exceptional computing classes to Primary Schools in both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two for half-day workshops and full-time computing curriculum.
Students will learn different aspects of using a computer through interactive lessons and games. These games teach children the various functions of a computer and the Internet, while also engaging them into wanting to learn more. With exciting video game programming, 3D animation, and animation, students won’t even realize how much they are learning because the program is fun. There is even game-based learning with popular choices such as Minecraft to engage the student’s interests.
Afterschool computing clubs are also available for students who are passionate about IT. PPA Cover provides high-quality computing enhancement activities through our incredibly interactive and stimulating technology meetings. Students will have access to a variety of software to bring computers and technology to life. Our meetings are always exciting and create life-long computing skills for out students. These technological abilities will allow students a head-start in establishing refining their STEM skills.
With PPA Covered, our goal is for children to be creators of technology, not solely consumers. Students will learn to program with Python, create animations, code for video games and applications, and so much more. There are workshops and “fun days” included in the yearly lesson plans to give a student the opportunity to discover new aspects of the STEM and IT world. We have created computing days, safe Internet days, and also participate in British Science week.
Students can also connect with the community through various events. There is a science fair hosted ever year where children can show off their acquired skills and learn from their peers. This show invites the community, including family, friend, and other students to join in and explore the world of computer and technology.
PPA Covered also offers a robotics and engineering section in computing. Students can create and program their robot using technology and Legos. The robots will be complete with sensors and reactive capabilities. These classes are a fun way to nurture their skills in science, technology, math, engineering, and construction.
With digital microscopes, students can also explore the world of crime scene investigation. They can solve crimes with dental forensics, hair and fiber analysis, fingerprinting and photo technology. Every lesson is focused on the students solving a case to learn a new skill. The final investigation will use all of these learned abilities.
